You can get to Panama City, Panama, the first leg of your journey
to the Solarte del Caribe Inn by air, land, or sea, with the most
common way of travel from the United States being by air. Once you
arrive at Panama City, you can then elect to either travel by bus
or you can fly via small commuter aircraft to Bocas del Toro. From
Bocas you will take a small water craft to the island of Solarte,
where you can begin to enjoy the most unspoiled of earth's worldly
treasures while staying at the Inn.
Flights are now available
from San Jose to Bocas via Nature Air.
For the more adventurous, you can also find your way to Bocas del
Toro from San Jose, Costa Rica, a day's trip by bus. You'll need
to get a visa stamp in your passport or a tourist card (U.S. $5.00,
available from LACSA or some travel agencies) before leaving San
Jose to cross into Panama. You can then either take a bus or taxi
to Changuinola, from where you can either fly directly to Bocas
del Toro or take another bus to Almirante on the coast.
